A Virgin pil�t�i az Olasz Nagyd�j id�m�r�j�n nem tudtak tov�bbl�pni a Q2-be, r�ad�sul m�g a Lotus versenyz�ivel szemben is alulmaradtak. Lucas di Grassi azonban ennek ellen�re is el�gedetten v�rja a versenyt, mivel elmond�sa szerint kihozta a maximumot aut�j�b�l. Timo Glocknak, aki rajtb�ntet�ssel v�rhatta az id�m�r�t, versenyg�pe teljes�tm�ny�vel ugyan nem volt gondja, �sszess�g�ben azonban m�gis csal�d�sk�nt �lte meg a monzai id�m�r�t.

Glock egy�bk�nt eredetileg a 21. poz�ci�ba kvalifik�lta mag�t, szerel�inek azonban hozz� kellett ny�lniuk a v�lt�hoz, ez�rt kapott 5 helyes rajtb�ntet�st. Di Grassi pedig �ppen csapatt�rsa b�ntet�se miatt l�phetett el�re egy helyet, hiszen eredetileg a 22. id�t aut�zta a kvalifik�ci�n.

A legels� etapomban a k�r�met Vitalij Petrov tette t�nkre, aki a bokszb�l tartott a p�ly�ra, �s az egyes kanyarban az ide�lis �vre h�zott. A m�sodik etapomban j� volt a temp�m, �s a Lotusok el�tt voltunk, de a harmadik szett gumival h�tul nem volt tapad�s. Mindenki javult, csak mi nem. Rajtb�ntet�st hoztunk magunkkal vas�rnapra, mivel �gy d�nt�tt�nk, hogy kicser�lj�k a differenci�lm�t, ez volt a legjobb, amit tehett�nk. �ltal�ban v�ve el�gedett vagyok az aut�val, ez�rt megl�tjuk, mit hoz a verseny."

"I'm a little disappointed to end qualifying the way we did because we had good pace early on in the session. On the very first run my lap was penalised by Vitaly Petrov, who came out of the pits and pulled out on to the racing line into turn one. On the second run I had good pace and we were ahead of Lotus, but on the third set of tyres there was no grip on the rear. Everyone was able to improve but we didn't. We have incurred a grid penalty for tomorrow as a result of taking the decision to change our differential, but it was the right thing to do. In general I am happy with the car so we will see what the race brings tomorrow."

Glock to et five place penalty
Timo Glock will have a five-place grid penalty for the Italian Grand Prix after his team opened up his gearbox to change the differential following final practice. Virgin Racing had to break a seal on Glock's gearbox to replace the differential - which is a breach of F1's technical regulations. Glock will therefore lose five places on the grid for the Monza event.
